My name is Aaren Easley and I have a background in architecture and traditional illustration. My goals for this stream are to teach and garner enthusiasm for more traditional presentation techniques (watercolor, sketchbooks). Please come join me, chat, ask questions and above all enjoy the stream!

Watercolors: Paints: I use a mix of Winsor Newton, Holbein, and Daniel Smith pigments. For more information on why and when I switch them out just ask. Brushes: I prefer Escoda brushes for fine detail work, but as long as hairs aren't falling into your page I think you'll be fine! Paper: Try to avoid "Hot press" unless you're doing very detailed (and usually architectural) work, it's very very difficult to use. Coldpress, rough, or rag paper is what you'll have the most fun with; there are a LOT of varieties here so please ask away. Sketching: I sketch with a Sailor Sapporo fountain pen, or the more budgeted Lamy (a fine pen!). For pencils I prefer Palomino Blackwings but in complete honesty a 6B from your local artstore will act about EXACTLY the same. Minimum Materials: If you want to participate and follow along on this channel I would recommend you have a decent watercolor paper, at LEAST the primary color pigments IN A TUBE (not those tray paints), a sketchpad of a comfortable size, and a 6B pencil.
