*(Updated March 10th, 2024)* ##**Who Am I? What's This Channel?** Hey there, I'm a 41-year-old **variety streamer**. I enjoy coffee, metroidvanias, rhythm games, Mario games, and sometimes RPGs or MMOs. I **don't keep a general schedule** though, mostly because **I have non-24**, which means my sleep cycle is all over the place; sometimes I also work on assets off-stream, also accounting for time you aren't seeing me streaming. ##**Stream Season** The current stream season is 16. This season started on September 6th, 2023. The "focus" has explicitly shifted to *no* focus; anything is possible at any time. ##**Yes, You Might Already Know Me** There're a few reasons you might suspect you already know me, and you'd be right: * I have speedrun both Mario 3, and several Trauma Center games. * I am the StepMania stepartist formerly known as Ace Of Hearts, now known by my current screen name. *(Updated October 20th, 2023)* ###The Main Thing: Be Reasonable I actually hate having lots of rules, or putting them in my info panes, but 1) you know how it is with "rules exist because someone actually *tried it* at some point," and 2) they have to be *here* or people won't read 'em. Sorry about that. At least my rules fit nicely into a few easier-to-remember categories, and "reasonable" sums up most of it. **✖ 1: Don't swear like a sailor.** * Swearing, in general, is allowed, as I do swear myself; just don't be *ridiculous and excessive* with it. **✖ 2: Don't be overly-insistent.** * No backseat gaming. (You may provide basic [manual-level] knowledge I am missing.) * Do not insist that I change games. **✖ 3: Don't make a deliberate neon sign of yourself.** * Do not just waltz in and ask to be a mod. The answer is ALWAYS "no." * Do not ask me, or anyone in my chat, to follow, host, or raid you. It's attention-grubbing-type rude, and these things will happen naturally when people determine they like you. * Do not outright advertise your channel in mine. (Bringing up your channel's content when it applies to the conversation is fine!) * If you're also streaming at the time, do not ask my chat to come watch your channel instead. I do NOT tolerate attempted viewer theft. **✖ 4: Don't bring discomfort.** * 3 hot-buttons you should stay away from: Religion, politics, and LGBT. Just don't. Yes I'm an intelligent person, but debate belongs in the appropriate places; I just don't think my stream chat is one of those places. * Do not start drama or spread rumors. * Yes I'm a lewdie, but I try to keep the lewd level low/comfy on my stream. Don't scare people off by falling too deep into the gutter. **✖ 5: Don't spam meaninglessly.** Note that I said *"meaninglessly."* * *Allowances:* Raids, celebrations, or when told. These count as "spam for a reason." * *NOT Allowed:* Pyramids, ASCII art, Zalgo text, and emote walls I *haven't* asked for. These count as "meaningless spam." **✖ 6: Don't just plain be a dingbat.** * Keep real spoilers in check. (I will make it very clear when I actually want a spoiler.) * Don't just be outright annoying as heck. Even if you're obeying the other rules, annoying myself or my viewers is just unpleasant. **✖ 7: Don't break Twitch's official rules.** * Obey Twitch's Terms of Service (ToS). * Obey Twitch's Community Guidelines. **✖ 8: No scams or pandering.** * Do not ask in my chat if I want to commission artwork from you. If I want or need a commission, I will go looking for one. * Do not offer activity inflation bots (talking chatbots, follow bots, whatever). I'd rather have 5 real chatters than 500 I know are fake.
