Heyy I'm Robert but most people here call me **Apo.** I've volunteered/worked with animals for a good amount of my life and one day picked up my phone to stream me hanging out with the first ever stray cat on the channel **Tobias** for 0 viewers. Since them, the channel grew to what is is now, a platform for Twitch and I, together, to feed and take care of hundreds of stray cats locally. We've even gone as far to rescue some who live out better lives than the ones they would've been forced to live. I can't wait to see where me, you, and the channel go next. In this channel, we feed stray cat colonies, making sure they're healthy, well fed, and doing okay for themselves. I usually bring some cans of wet food, dry food, catnip, treats, and water (if the cats are friendly enough toys too!) and hand them out to the cats. Some cats are really friendly, and get along with us well! Some cats are super shy, and will only come out to the camera if I'm away, leaving you guys to monitor them for their notch. Stray cats in Florida are under a TNR movement. TNR stands for Trap, Neuter, Return and basically means that to stop the growth of feral cat colonies it's important to get a cat trapped and neutered / spayed and returned to their environment to further stop their spread. Currently I'm a part-time streamer as I work fulltime, but hope one day to fully dedicate myself to content creation, rescuing kitties, and feeding them more regularly for Twitch and Youtube! It may take time, but I'm looking forward to it. **Frequently Asked Questions** Disclaimer: I highly recommend visiting [AlleyCat] (https://www.alleycat.org) a website dedicated to these topics, and a reliable source I use! **Is It Bad To Feed?** At a first glance, it may seem like this may raise several complications, but I've been actively working in the community for years, and with cats for even longer. Feeding is actually essential, as these colonies cannot do well on their own, and even if they did they would disturb the Florida wildlife. *Does Feeding Cause Breeding?* Surprisingly, I get this question now and then in chat and I have the same answer which is it is impossible for cats to reproduce if they have been spayed or neutered due to TNR. Feeding does not in any way promote breeding, and it even goes further to help monitor cat colonies to see if any cats aren't fixed. Leaving them alone would actually harm the local wildlife and would promote more breeding as the cats aren't being monitored. *What is TNR?* TNR stands for Trap - Neuter - Return which means a cat in the environment was trapped and brought to be fixed and then further brought to its home colony. You can recognize a cat by its notched ear, and can use !tnr in chat to bring it up. *Why Not Give These Cats A Home?* This seems like an easy solution but a lot of these stray cats are not used to people and only have known the streets their whole lives (unless dropped off) so to take them in and force them into an unfamiliar situation and where they may not even enjoy the presence of people could be terrible or even hostile for them. Some friendly cats have the potential to be socialized and domesticated to some extent. But even some of those friendly cats may not like foreign indoor situations. We've been able to have some rescues on the channel which you can read about in the currently named cats, each with different stories and situations that we determined could change their lives entirely. I would love to rescue every cat that even has the chance to be helped, but I don't have a place of my own to conduct rescues. I'm saving up though! Until then, I do the best I can. *Do You Just Feed The Cats?* Nope! In terms of entertainment and content we like to go out and give the cats nip or treats. In general terms, we try to conduct rescues whenever we have the chance and help out if we see surface wounds on kitties. *Is This Legal?* Yes, as per Twitch standards content must be legal in order to be served on the platform. The only case of it being against the law is if it were on private property and specified to leave the premises. The Field location had been declared a private property, as for other locations we have permission and are on public property. It's also worth noting leaving any can or tray would be considered littering which we always avoid, not just for the sake of the law but for the environment and homes these cats live in. *How Can You Afford All This Food?* I'm pretty lucky and grateful that all the food is sent in by twitch viewers through an amazon wishlist that contains various food brands and styles, toys, and extra for the kitties which is available by using !amazon in chat.
