Hello there! My name is Emily and I'm a freelance artist living in the UK. I was grown in Somerset in the South West of England, in a haunted house on top of a hill, next to a mysterious old barrow called The Fairy Toot. I will be using Twitch to share my painting process so feel free to ask questions while I work.

* *Why do you wear gloves when you paint?* These are to stop my greasy hand/finger prints getting on the paper which stops the paint absorbing properly. * *What brushes do you use?* Mostly Rosemary & Co brand brushes. My favourite is the Series 22 size 6 & 3 and the 'smooshing' brushes.

No Spam (please ask before promoting anything) No hate. If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all, plenty of other places to vent. No Trolling Be nice to each other. This is a place to enjoy something relaxing, an escape from the stress of the world, not add to it.

Watercolour is my medium of choice currently. My favourite is Daniel Smith's watercolour range which include pigments made from real gemstones which are absolutely gorgeous. Strathmore 500 Wet media illustration board - by far my favourite so far. I tend not to use paper (unless it's over 600gsm!) as I use so much water that even stretched paper tends to buckle too much. I prefer smooth hot pressed papers/boards to the cold pressed textured ones. Langton Prestige watercolour board is a good cheaper alternative to the Strathmore which I use often too!

Currently working on my 2020 calendar, DRAGON. So right now the subject is dragon centric!
