ASM in 2018 is proud to be held in part at AVCon, Adelaide's Anime and Video Game Festival. AVCon is an annual event occurring in July of each year, and ASM held its inaugural event at AVCon, in 2015. The University of South of Australia, therein the School of Creative Industries, has been a supporter of ASM since 2016, being host to the overnight portion of the event. We are ever thankful to UniSA and the School of Creative Industries for supporting both us directly, and the speedrunning community generally, through their assistance. ASM in 2018 is again supporting beyondblue, a charity which strives towards improving awareness of and reducing the stigma towards anxiety and depression. It is a charity that we in the ASM team believe strongly in, and hence why we are choosing to support them for the third year running.
