My name is Jasmin. **I am a nail artist from Germany and I share my design-making process here with you.** I have been exploring creative outlets from photography to painting and everything in between for about ten years now. I have always loved painting my nails, but only started taking nail art more seriously toward the end of 2019. I am not a licenced nail tech, I don't do other people's nails, I'm just doing this on my own for funzies. You know all about nail art? Great! But I know that **a few of you might not be too familiar with nail polish and its, granted, endless possibilities. So here's a little nail art 101**: *What is a base coat?* A base coat is a protective layer of colorless nail polish that helps prevent staining. There are also base coats that create an extra smooth surface or such that you can easily peel off to remove a manicure. *What is a top coat?* A top coat is a colorless nail polish that smooths out your design and adds a nice glossy or matte finish to it. There are thick ones, thin ones, waterbased ones that are good to avoid smudging, quick and slow drying ones etc. *What is holo?* Holo, or holographic is an attribute of the most exquisite nail art products like polishes, glitters, foils or flakies, that makes them reflect light in rainbow colors. It's so pretty. The obsession with holographic things in the nail art community originates from YouTuber simplynaillogical, who has spread the love of holo all over the internet. *What is stamping?* Stamping is a nail art technique in which you pick up nail polish from a perforated metal plate with a soft plastic cushion to transfer designs without having to handpaint them. Reverse stamping is when you color your design in with more nail polish after you've picked it up. Stamping can be hard and is a science on its own. But it's a lot of fun! *What is watermarbling?* Watermarbling is a technique in which you ad drops of nail polish to a water surface, create a pattern and then transfer the pattern to your nail. It's a science on its own as well.

You know all about twitch? Great! But I know that **many of you might not be too familiar with this platform and its, granted, own subculture. So here's a little twitch 101**: *When do you stream?* I am streaming my nail art process a few times a week. You can check my schedule to see my next streams. I also always announce my streams in my Instagram stories & highlights. *Can I get notified when you go live?* Yes! You can easily create a free account on twitch, follow me and activate the bell to get notified! You can also save my countdowns on Instagram to get notified. *I missed a stream! What can I do?* No worries! You can watch the full versions of streams on my channel for up to two weeks. After that, there might be a shorter highlight of the stream to rewatch. *What are channel points?* You have noticed that you receive points at the bottom of the chat? These are channel points and they reward you for being a loyal viewer and chatter. You can click on them to see which rewards you can unlock with them! You can, for example, take care that I keep hydrated while I am working, you can buy votes in polls, or even give my cat a treat when she's in the room! *What are subscriptions?* Subscriptions are a way to support me financially and to unlock special features! You won't have to see ads, you can use our custom emotes (i.e. emojis) and more! *What are gift subs?* You have suddenly become a subscriber? You were probably gifted a sub! Congrats! This means that another viewer was extra generous and wanted to spread the nail art love! :) *What are Tier-2 or Tier-3 subscriptions?* These are more generous subscriptions that you can support me with. You will get 1 extra emote for tier-2 and two extra emotes for tier-3 subs. *What are emotes?* Emotes are the Twitch version of emojis. The special part is, that streamers can create their own custom emotes! The more subscribers I have, the more emotes we get! *What are bits?* Bits are a virtuall currency on Twitch. One bit equals 0,01$. You can donate these bits by *cheering* with them in special moments in the stream. You can also buy extra votes in polls with them or play funny sounds to the stream. *What is a raid?* You took a break and when you came back to the stream it was gone and you saw another person streaming? No worries. While you were gone, I ended my stream and raided another channel. This means that I took all of my lovely viewers with me to another channel that was live at the same time to check them out! This gives us the possibility to get to know other streamers. If you like the other stream, you can stay, if you don't, you're welcome to leave it at any time.
