The time is getting close. We have set the date for MDA Fill the Boot, it will be March 15, 2023. This will be our fifth Fill the boot, so far we have raised over $4600. What is MDA(Muscular Dystrophy Association) and what do they do? Great Question. Their mission is to save and improve the lives of people fighting muscle disease. They fund research to find treatments and cures, support and empower families and rally communities by aligning with supporters who care. Why am I raising money for MDA? Glad you asked. As a firefighter and a member of the International Association of Fire Fighters(IAFF) for 19 years I have been a part of Fill the Boot for just about as long. Once or twice a year we as firefighters in our local would stand on the corner to help raise money, well when COVID hit it was recommended that we did not do this. I still wanted to do my part and I had this great little community that I wanted to pass the idea to, so here we are. Maybe you want to know where the IAFF falls into this. I will leave this on you with an easy search, just search Fill the Boot. I appreciate any and all support for this fundraiser. Of course I am looking for monetary donations as well as sharing the Campaign link on any networking platform that you are associated with. Again this year I will be scheduling times to join different people to join my stream to division up. There will be 2 hour slots. If you are a streamer or not, it does not matter. If you are a streamer, if you want to co-stream or if you do not want to stream, this is totally up to you.
