As you may know, I LOVE BOTANY! I often post a lot of pictures of local plants and flowers on my Twitter. So in hopes of getting everyone to learn a bit more about their surroundings and local flora, I made a Scavenger Hunt! Winners will be given a VIP Role on the Channel! Here's what you have to do. Find a local plant in your community and take a picture (do not pluck it some are protected by law or are dangerous). Find out it's scientific and common name, a cool fact, then Tweet it to me @BotanistCool with the hashtag #BotanistCool. I'll be choosing 5 people a month (to start with) to give VIP badges to! With your permission, I will also feature your Tweet on my Stream! It'll start on the 1st of every month so you best get ready! Reliable resources for identification can typically be found on local university websites, or even state (for the US) or your local government's environmental agency's website!
