Philadelphia’s Chas Paris began his DJ career in 1991 at the legendary CLUB ZADAR in New Hope, PA. as well as on the radio, 91.3 WTSR, Trenton State College in NJ. It was at this time he developed his love for alternative club music. In 1992, Chas was hired by 103.9 WDRE in Jenkintown, PA to DJ the live on air broadcast from The CHESTNUT CABARET nightclub along with MC/Host, Mel “Toxic” Taylor. Over the 5 years WDRE was on the air, DJ Chas provided the music for the most successful ‘DRE Modern Rock Dance Parties in Philadelphia at clubs such as: EGYPT, MAUI, and THE RIVER DECK. In 1994 Chas took over Friday nights at the ASYLUM on Delaware Avenue in Philly, playing 100% Goth / Industrial dance music. 1997 brought the end of WDRE, at that time Chas was DJing the live Modern Rock Dance Party with Preston Elliot at FUBAR nightclub to over a thousand club goers and millions on the air every Saturday night. Chas has kept busy over the years doing numerous guest appearances up and down the east coast.
