I'm a hobbyist blacksmith in eastern Tennessee. I've been forging for about 7 years now and want to share the craft with anyone interested. I'm not trying to recreate a specific era and will use power tools and technology when it makes sense for the project. I started streaming June 20th 2016 and was partnered on November 8th of 2016 If you have any suggestions on how to improve the stream, please let me know.
My shop is equipped with both propane and solid fuel forges as I find that each has it's place in modern Blacksmithing. The anvil is a family heirloom, almost 200 years old and weighs 165lb. It's securely attached to a 3 legged stand which is then bolted to a concrete footer. You'll notice the anvil has very little ring due to how securely it's fastened to the earth. My streaming is handled by a Core I5-4460 and 12 gigs of ram running on windows 10. I stream with OBS Studio. My cameras are a mix of Logitech c920's and c922's and the moveable camera is a ps3 eye mounted to an Ikea desktop light arm. The anvilcam is a c920 with a #4 welding shade lense.
