Hi, I'm Drum. I'm from Stoke-on-Trent, England, I'm a graduate in Computer Games Programming from Staffordshire University, and I'm a drummer (duh). I'm a speedrunner of the Sonic Adventure Era games, primarily SA2 and secondarily Shadow. I'm also a moderator of SA2's speedrunning community and am a main organiser of events for SA2, such as the Hero Story Tournament, as well as events that cover all of the Adventure Era games, such as the Sonic Adventure Era Marathon. I am a top runner of SA2, particularly in Dark Story categories, where I often prove to be in the top 2 Dark Story runners along with SA2's greatest player, Katie4. However, I'm proficient at pretty much everything in SA2 and am one of the best active single-segment speedrunners of the game. I have a lot of aspirations for speedrunning this era of Sonic games, including many that extend beyond playing the games myself. I hope I can get around to doing as many of them as possible, but this means I jump from thing to thing quite frequently, therefore I don't have any kind of streaming schedule and often I'll stream for multiple days in a row before not streaming again for a few weeks. I don't play nor stream casual games, but I'll do drumming streams sometime, maybe, hopefully, someday.

Holding the WR in Dark Story was a goal I never thought I'd achieve when I started out. Dark Story was the first category I picked up as a speedrun back in 2016 and it was the only thing I did in speedrunning, so all of my growth as a speedrunner was experienced in this category. Ever since achieving this goal I've effectively been in the post-game of speedrunning which has been really cool. I've now broadened my horizons to playing the rest of SA2 and also to interacting with the other communities of the Sonic Adventure Era. All of the communities are great spaces to be a part of and now that I'm in the post-game I want to experience as much of it as I can and further the communities as much as I can, too.

SA2 - Dark Story: PB: 22:51 (2nd) (WR: 22:43) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RgUgJLmanl8 My goal here is a 22:30. Dark Story definitely isn't the most fun category in the world but it's where I started and I'm very good at it so eventually I will get a run that can be considered very good. I could aim a little lower than 22:30 if I wanted an RNG grind, and honestly I won't rule it out, but 22:30 is the minimum requirement for me here. SA2 - 180 Emblems: PB: 9:03:48 RTA (4th) (WR: 8:47:34 RTA) No Video I ran 180 Emblems during Spring 2021. It was my last major speedrun grind before becoming an SA2 moderator. I became capable of beating the WR but doing daily runs did a number on my mental so I had no option but to stop. I will certainly beat this eventually; I just need to find the time since oh boy you need a lot of time to run this category. I definitely want to make a TAS of a whole story path some day. For now I have just 3 IL TASes that I made in April 2020. I think this is more of a future goal, but I'm putting it here nonetheless.
