**Hiya, friends!** I'm Jackie, and I'm a full-time glass artist! Working with glass makes me happier than any other activity in the world, and I'm excited to share that happiness and passion with you, whether it be by sharing info on my process, inspiring you to try glasswork yourself, or just having a fun chat while I work :) All of my designs are 100% original and are protected by US Copyright law. Although I gladly share my glasswork techniques, answer questions, and provide helpful tips, I **DO NOT** permit anyone to copy or remake my designs, and they are never for sale.

I reinvest all proceeds from my streams and product sales right back into my little biz so I can continue to expand my product range, further develop my studio space, and improve the quality of my streaming setup. If you enjoy my stream and my work and want to show it some love, there are a few different ways you can do so. Feel free to go with whatever below option suits you best! + **Subscribe -** Hit the purple "Subscribe" button up top, and select a tier level to subscribe to. You can view the list of specific benefits I offer to my subs under the "Sub Perks" box above. + **Tip with Bits -** You can tip by cheering Bits during my livestream (visit [www.twitch.tv/bits](https://www.twitch.tv/bits) to learn how to tip with bits). All Bit tips go toward my next subscriber giveaway, and the real-time progress bar toward this goal is visible during my streams. + **Tip with PayPal -** If Bits aren't your thing, you can visit [www.streamlabs.com/glassworkpixie](https://www.streamlabs.com/glassworkpixie) to give a tip via PayPal. Non-Bit tips are not counted toward my subscriber giveaways, but they are still very much appreciated! + **Gift a Sub -** Hit the purple "Gift a Sub" button up top to purchase a subscription for anyone you think might enjoy becoming a member of the Pixie Glass Fam!

+ **Q: How long have you been working with glass?** **A:** My dad has been a stained glass hobbyist my whole life, so I've been familiar with the art since I was young. However, I didn't begin to seriously pursue the craft until ~2015. + **Q: Do you have formal education/training in glasswork?** **A:** I learned the very basics from my dad, but the majority of my skills are self-taught. I spent several years observing other talented glass artists via YouTube and Instagram, and performing lots of trial-and-error to determine the techniques, tools, and materials that produce the highest-quality results. Regarding my formal education, I attended the University of Pennsylvania, where I received a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and minors in mathematics and fine arts. Although my fine arts curriculum certainly contributed to my creative abilities, it did not include any glasswork classes. + **Q: When did you decide to go full-time with your art?** **A:** I worked as a healthcare technology consultant for several years after graduating, but quickly realized that I couldn't be truly happy under the constraints of 9-5 office life. In solution, I began to develop Glasswork Pixie as a side hustle, slowly but steadily growing my skills, my following, and my business acumen. In early 2020 my little biz reached a point of growth and stability where I finally felt comfortable leaving my corporate career in favor of pursuing my true passion, and I haven't looked back since! It was one of the best decisions of my life, and I'm beyond grateful to all the supporters that helped me get there <3 + **Q: What inspires your designs?** **A:** Being a big fan of the sci-fi/fantasy genre, my designs tend to be whimsical in nature. As a 90s baby, I also can't help but be inspired by the zeitgeist of that era. I personally love art that is bright, fun, and eye-catching while maintaining clean lines and simplicity, and I think my own work reflects that style. + **Q: Do you make patterns for sale?** **A:** None of my designs are for sale at this time. Every one comes from my heart and truly feels like a little part of my soul. Because of the significant time I spend drawing and refining them and the close personal attachment I have to each one, I don't feel comfortable distributing them for public use. + **Q: What do you do for fun outside of glasswork?** **A:** There's absolutely no activity I enjoy more than glasswork, so I spend 9-12 hours on it most days, but when I'm not in my glass studio I'm either at the gym (I'm an avid runner and weightlifter) or hangin' with my husband (fondly referred to as Peanut Butter in my streams) and our 3 furry children.
