I've decided to take a little time off of work and pursue a solo video game project under the umbrella of what I'm calling [Rain Delay Games](https://www.raindelaygames.com/). I'm making a side-scrolling action platformer whose health and projectile systems are heavily informed by the game of baseball. I live in Seattle and I work as a software engineer. I talk about sports and beer a lot. I grew up in Texas, though I don't have much of an accent. I used to be a soccer goalie but I've retired to focus on running. I recently ran my first full marathon and am definitely interested in doing more. If I'm doing speedruns*, I don't reset very often. I strive for as little downtime as possible when I stream and I typically consider practice to be downtime. I celebrate a new PB (personal best) with a PB (personal beverage). \* Haven't done speedruns in a while.

**[wwwsplit](http://jpnance.github.io/wwwsplit/)** A browser-based timer that I use on my stream. It has only a basic set of timer controls (start, stop, split, unsplit, skip, and reset) and has only been tested on Firefox.
