Hi! I'm Lainey, a composer, performer, producer, audio engineer, vaudeville idiot, and art weirdo in the Boston area (USA). I've been a stage performer in music and comedy for most of my life, but a timeline hop landed me as a consummate livestreamer. On this channel you'll see me improvising live loops while traveling the cosmos. We were awarded a grant from the Boston Foundation and won PROG magazine's Best Unsigned Artist of 2018. Heterotopia is a rock opera I wrote and recorded as a double album with my band Schooltree, which won some awards, international acclaim, and the respect/confusion of my peers. It's more story-focused and realized than your typical rock opera: a hero's-journey-to-the-underworld style epic & existential survival guide about a girl who loses her body and must journey as a ghost through a parallel world of the collective unconscious to get it back.
