****** This is my cat Janeway, or Janey as she is affectionately referred. Janey was a stray kitten in our neighbourhood and always came around while we were hanging out outside. She would come, we would feed her or give her treats, and then she would be on her way. This went on for a few weeks. But unfortunately (or rather quite fortunately by story's end) she arrived one day with an injured paw. It seemed like she had gotten it caught in something and cut her knuckle and footpad upon pulling it out. We decided to take her to vet. She was patched up and we were told she had no identification--no tattoo or microchip, so we decided to take her in. She been a loving member of the family ever since! We decided to name her Janeway because (as we were watching Voyager at the time) just like Captain Katherine Janeway, Janey was stranded in her own Delta Quadrent. With her wits (and her stomach) she eventually found her way home. ******
