I am nerdy about many things including video games. Ever since that first time I played Space Invaders, I was hooked. I love story games and play a ton of Stardew Valley. I write about games on my blog, Mothergamer. For business inquiries contact me at mothergamer28@gmail.com

About Me

Panel Content
Hi everyone. I'm Mothergamer. I am a Filipino pansexual woman. I am a no cam variety streamer. Most people call me Mother or Mom which is totally fine with me since I am a mom and a grandma. I have loved playing video games since I was a kid. One of the first games I ever played was Space Invaders on the Atari 2600. From that moment on, I was hooked. I have lived with depression, anxiety, and SAD (seasonal affective disorder) for years and video games have helped a lot when I am having what I call a grey day. I am very open about it because I feel that there needs to be more open discussion about mental health. I talk about mental health and wellness with everyone in my streams often. Open and honest conversations about my own mental health are meant to show others it's okay to not be okay and there is no shame in seeking help from licensed medical professionals. This is also a place that is welcoming to everyone from all walks of life. I love playing a variety of games, but mainly a lot of role playing story games. I do like to replay older games that are personal favorites of mine so I do stream those often. I enjoy playing video games with my husband and friends, but like playing on my own too. I love to chat with everyone while I play games I genuinely enjoy. When I do stream it's mainly PS4 games and some Switch games. On some weekends and holidays you may hear my husband Pastor_Ron making jokes with me and with chat. I don't really like to be on camera because of my anxiety and I would rather have the streams be about the conversations and games instead of what I look like, so it's just streaming of the game play with me talking on the mic. When I'm not playing video games, I write about them on my Mothergamer blog. I also knit and run my own online knitting shop Mothergamer Knits. Thank you to my dear friend, tifad0esart for the cute drawing of me.

Everyone is welcome here. I want it to be a chill place for people who love gaming and enjoy hanging out together while we advocate for open and honest talks about mental health. That being said, there are some rules about how to behave in here. 1. English only in the chat please. While I can speak six different languages, this makes it easier for myself and the mods to keep an eye on the chat. No hate speech of any kind. This means no racism, no sexism, and no hate aimed at anyone that is LGBTQIA. No harassment of anyone at all. Doing so means you will be banned from here. 2. No discussion about religion, politics, or age in here. This isn't the place for it, thank you. This does not mean we don't speak up about LBTQIA+ and racism issues because we do, but we do this with respect and kindness. Use common sense and don't violate the TOS. 3. Do not spam the chat with links please. If you would like to share a link, ask me or the mods first. Do not self advertise in here. It's common courtesy and etiquette. 4. I'm not great at every single video game. I play them to have fun and to enjoy myself. I'm pretty derpy at games often, but don't backseat game me please. If I need help, I will ask. 5. No elitism. Everyone likes something different or has their own way. We don't shame people for what they play on, games they play, or things they're nerdy about. We also do not shame people about being old or young and playing video games or being on here. Gaming and Twitch are for everyone. 6. Don't shame people about their mental health in here. This is a space for everyone to talk. NO TROLLING in here period. Making jokes about suicide, self harm, or any mental health issues will result in an instant ban. 7. Respect the streamer, respect the mods, and respect each other. Do not talk negatively about other streamers in my chat. It is not what our community is about. 8. Be kind in all things and have fun.

Mental Health Resources

I am a mental health advocate, but I am not a therapist. I give general advice and support, but I do not give medical advice or treatment. There is no shame in needing help and it is important that you seek help from a medical and licensed professional. If you are in crisis, you can call the National Suicide Prevention Hotline. Just click on the MG art and it will take you to the website with the number. You can also use the command !help !heartsupport and !twitchcares in our chat for access to mental health resources. You are not alone. Do your best to be kind to yourselves and to each other.
