I'm Charlie AKA Mr.Muffles, 32, livin' in Los Angeles. I'm a hobbyist programmer currently programming in C# with the Unity engine. I'd say about 75% of my programming knowledge is self-taught. I do not claim to have all the answers nor best practices. If you see something I'm doing that is wrong or inefficient, please let me know. I'm always looking to improve. You will definitely see me googling techniques and documentation from time to time. I'll also point out when I'm aware that what I'm doing is wrong, but I'm doing it anyway. Sometimes, you just gotta yolo that code, y'know? Oh, and I love Djent. Like, a lot.

Current project is a 1-4 player co-op online rogue-like platformer game inspired by Metroidvania, Risk of Rain, Dead Cells, etc. The temporary project name is "Chance of Showerz", a silly homage to Risk of Rain. No idea what the permanent name will be yet. This game will not have mana, I do not like mana.

> Q) Did you make all the art? Will this art be in the game on release? >> A) Most of the art in the game has been made by three artists, [EdFarage](http://twitch.tv/EdFarage), Skorpi, and Doki. I have made several assets as well, although they may just be temporary. > Q) Do you need someone to help make art, design levels, make music, etc? >> A) Anything and everything helps. I'm mainly looking for pixel artists at the moment, but any asset donations are much appreciated! Level/Game designers may be needed at a later time but not currently needed. > Q) How long have you been working on this project? >> A) Type !devtime in chat to find out! > Q) Why do you not like mana? >> A) Mana is just a fun-limiting resource with zero upsides. A cooldown-based approach to using abilities is much better, imo. > Q) Why do I have a FAQ? I thought people don't read these. >> A) Good question. I don't really have an answer to that one.
