The Strong National Museum of Play in Rochester, NY engages guests of all ages with hands-on exhibits and the world’s most comprehensive collection of toys, dolls, games, and video games.

**The Strong** is the *only* collections-based *museum in the world devoted solely to play.* It is home to the **International Center for the History of Electronic Games**, the **National Toy Hall of Fame**, the **World Video Game Hall of Fame**, the **Brian Sutton-Smith Library and Archives of Play**, **Woodbury School**, and the *American Journal of Play* and houses the world’s largest and most comprehensive collection of historical materials related to play.

**The Strong** is centrally located at One Manhattan Square in downtown Rochester, New York. Open 362 days a year, The Strong offers your family so much fun. Easily accessible from the New York State Thruway and regional expressways, The Strong is only one hour by car from Buffalo, 75 minutes from Syracuse, and approximately six hours or less from cities such as Baltimore, Boston, Cleveland, New York, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Toronto, and Washington, DC.

**The Strong®** is a highly interactive, collections-based museum devoted to the history and exploration of play. It is one of the largest history museums in the United States and one of the leading museums serving families. The Strong is an independent 501(c)(3) not-for-profit educational organization. It is funded in part by the Margaret Woodbury Strong Trust but also depends upon private contributions from individuals, corporations, and foundations and upon competitive grants from public agencies such as the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) and the New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA).
