About Me

Panel Content
"I don't know what my brand is but I know some of it is drinking and chaos" -me at some point I'm just your average music major gone corporate, elder millenial, chicagoan drinking malort and swearing at videogames. My ADHD means that I don't play any particular game for long and that my house is filled with unfinished crafts. Join me in my stream for a cat cam of Moose when she is cooperating, many stories of my past adventures, music from myself and my friends, and occasional random live sessions of hangs. I hope my stream feels like chilling on a beanbag in my living room or sitting out on one of those wooden back porches.

About Moose

I got Moose back in 2014. We walked into a room at PAWS filled with kittens and said "Moose" and this little soot ball walked out of the pile like we called her name. 7 years later she is always within 5ft of me and just as cute as she was as a kitten but much bigger, louder, and more of a troublemaker. There is a running theory that her K/D is much higher than mine and that's why she keeps grabbing for my mouse hand. Moose had been known to wield her mod sword irresponsibly so if something goes wrong mid stream it's because she walked across my keyboard...

WTH is Malört?

Malört is a traditional wormwood-based digestif. It's based off of a traditional swedish style of bitters called “bäskbrännvin” or besk. Mr. Jeppson had to sell it as a medicinal product that "rids its imbibers of stomach worms and other parasites in the body" because it was being produced during prohibition. It successfully skirts federal regulation given the recurring conclusion by law enforcement that nobody would drink his concoction recreationally. Today it is a Chicago staple that is used to both initiate people to the city and to build comraderie among artists, industry workers, and their reluctant friends. At ~34% it's my preferred shot. What does it taste like? Here are some reviews from Liquor Barn: "It tastes like a pine tree that's been doused in gasoline. But, since that's apparently what the manufacturer was going for, they absolutely nailed it. Five stars." "It tastes like a burnt rubber band dipped in bug spray. Five stars." "Self-loathing in a bottle" In reality, it is a very bitter beverage that is like biting into a grapefruit skin. Think Fernet or Aquavit but not as refined. People either love it or hate it an on this channel we are a fan. Click the image above for a more detailed history of Malört!
