Born into a humble family of Tavern Keepers around the Sulu Islands of the Philippines, Jessica spent most of her childhood frolicking in the woods and enjoying the company of animals. When not on her own adventures, she’d often assist her parents with running the tavern, picking up several skills considered “unlady-like” such as brawling, gambling, and some uncouth language. Unfortunately, in her late teens, her father had fallen ill, and operating costs of running the bar and medical treatments became too much for them to sustain. In order to better help support her family, she took to the harbor, looking for any ship willing to hire her. It was here the British Trade Authority took her on as a ship’s cook for a voyage to the Indian Ocean, with her stipulating that half her pay be sent to her family back in the Colonies. Once in the Indian Ocean however, she found herself stranded there with no way to return home, when the fleet she was in was attacked by the Ungwana. She eventually found a Dutch Merchant Company trading fleet willing to take her onboard and pay for her return trip after completing their current trip. After arriving at the Western Coast of Asia though, she soon realized that the DMC’s mission was to massacre the fascinating wildlife for their pelts. With her love for nature and animals, the suffering of those animals was too much for her to bear and knowing it would mean sacrificing her way home, she quickly came up with a plan to put an end to it. It wasn’t long till Jessica convinced a few friends made during the voyage to help her put a stop to these barbaric practices. Under cover of night while the majority of crewmembers were hunting ashore, she and a small band of friends placed incendiary devices into the powder keg storage of all but one small ship which she would take as her first prize. After sinking the entire fleet, and escaping she discovered a baby panda caged below deck, and quickly bonded with it as both a pet, and closest friend, and adopting the moniker, PanduhhXx among the seas. With word spreading of her deeds, she knew returning home would no longer be an option, so instead, she set up operations in Sainte-Anne building up her fleet, and forming the Bamboo Brigade, seeking to end anyone who would harm her precious Pandas.
