Hi, I'm Rakiel! I've spent the last couple of years supporting one streamer or another, and after taking care of a LOT of business, I've decided to try it again! I aim for "cool uncle" energy; I'm salty and coarse, but am open-minded and accepting to all (legal) walks of life. Fair warning: language on my stream (especially with my FFXIV raid team) can be *extremely* adult in nature, so watch at your own risk!

I have been playing FFXIV since 1.0 beta (fall of 2010), and am a Legacy player on Excalibur server after some server-hopping over the last couple of years. You may have seen me on Sargatanas or Famfrit servers as Rakiel Kanan or Rakiel Asura in FFXIV:ARR and later, and Rakiel Kanan on Mysidia or Gungir back in 1.0. I also played FFXI as Rakiel on Asura server from 2004-2009. You'll commonly see me in the company of [Yuhki](https://www.twitch.tv/ryuhkin) and her wife Refyll, as well as my good friends [Luna](https://www.twitch.tv/lunacatte) and [Konchu](https://www.twitch.tv/invinciblekonchu), and assorted other members of my raid team.

I've been gaming for nearly 35 years at this point, and while I will play a little bit of almost anything, I enjoy action/adventure games like Jedi: Fallen Order, Tomb Raider, Ghost of Tsushima, etc. the most. I will occasionally stream an FPS like Doom or Destiny 2, but it is far more rare, and in the case of D2, I usually only play with friends or solo. With rare exceptions, I generally avoid competitive PvP; while I played CoD 4: Modern Warfare and Modern Warfare 2 during their original launch on Xbox 360 (and Destiny 2 more recently) and had a respectable k/d ratio, I have long since fallen out of practice. Also, I will always have a soft spot in my heart for combat flight simulators.
