I'm Rebel! Here to shift a moment of your day into a good moment of fun!

Salutations, visitor! My name is Daniel, and I am a former pilot of the Rebel Alliance whose mission is to *shift a moment of your day into a good moment of fun*! Broadcasting from this humble Rebel base of operations, I aim to overthrow the evil influence of the Galactic Empire and restore justice to the galaxy! **"Snap out of it already! Who are you, actually?"** Alright! My name *is* Daniel, but I'm a young man from **Chile** who has set out to establish himself as a content creator. Video games are my passion and sharing that passion with fellow gamers is my joy! Here on Twitch, I want to propel my work into a set activity, and my goal is to be as informative and energetic with my contents as I can be while reaching out to my viewers. Besides, I'm a non-English native speaker who is *passionate* about English, and I also want to take this chance to keep onwards and upwards with my language skills.

First and foremost, I'm a Nintendo-focused content creator, so you'll mostly find me playing Nintendo games, of course! Although I have a limited array of games to play live, the games I choose should mostly allow me to keep on my goal of being energetic, informative and interactive. Expect to find the following contents in my channel: - *Action-adventure games* (or single-player modes) that will usually be my main content and that I'll advance at my own pace. - Online gaming content where I'm able to provide as much commentary as I can, such as *Mario Kart 8*, *Splatoon*, and *Super Smash Bros. Ultimate*. - A fair amount of *visual novel gameplay* -- yes, **visual novels** -- since I also love to provide voice acting. (Don't ask me about my favorite VN or you might regret it -- or love it.) - The occasional instance where I get to include my friends into the mix to spice up the entertainment, such as playing *VRChat* -- and, more especially, **special shows!** You will also find me revisiting old favorites and exploring small indie titles at a certain day or in occasion. If a game with such characteristics crosses your mind, feel free to suggest it and I'll see if I can play it live!

[If you prefer to scroll, **read the text in bold**.] I would love to have a chat with the most positive of vibes! But because things can get a bit messed up, I'll have to set a couple of rules: - **Respect the Broadcaster**. I always aim to "git gud" at games while doing the same at attending the chat, which may result in either some clumsy gameplay or not always reading all of your comments. (If that happens, please forgive me.) - Also, **respect every viewer in the chat**. I'm all for a lively conversation and sharing different opinions, but if those opinions start to threaten each other's integrity or if there is any disturbing behavior, *required chat moderation shall take action*. - Speaking of which, **respect the Moderators' management**. *They have met the proper conditions to be entrusted as Mods.* Minor threats will be given a warning; continuous threats will be timed out. However, if you think they have committed a mistake at some point, let me know and I'll decide what to do about it. - I don't want to be too strict about it, but **any inappropriate language or strongly suggestive themes are discouraged**. Please keep in mind that I'm not willing to use foul language myself. **What will NOT be tolerated is ANY kind of harassment towards the Broadcaster, the Moderators or any viewer, as well as explicit themes or content; such behavior will be banned immediately.** - It's usually not a problem as long as they don't lead to inappropriate material, but **if you want to share links, asking the Broadcaster or any Moderator first** shall be appreciated. - When the game being played falls into *blind gameplay*, **please refrain from backseating my playthrough** unless I expressly call for help, and, most especially, **please avoid revealing any spoilers**. Keep in mind that some viewers might not know about the game being played either. However, small hints or gameplay suggestions are okay, and commentaries on a game, its franchise and/or related content are strongly encouraged! - Finally, but most importantly, **please make yourself at home and have fun!** Interactivity between the Broadcaster and the viewers are a thing I'll *always* heartily appreciate!

Here in the Frequently Asked Questions section, you get to know what's behind the curtain! **"Is your name really Daniel? I still think you're playing!"** - My very first name is Fabián -- consider Daniel my second name. You can just call me Rebel, though! **"How old are you?"** - Let's just say that I'm a kid by heart! If you really want to know, though, I was born in 1988 -- do the math. ;) **"So, you're from Chile, a Spanish-speaking country. Why are you using English for your works?"** - Indeed, there was a time when I'd operate this channel in my native language on a moderate basis -- which explains the fairly large amount of followers and views that I have here. But I realized that, by using English, not only would I reach a wider demographic, I'd also take this as a chance to further improve my speaking skills. English is a language that *passionates* me and being able to reach out to fellow gaming enthusiasts by talking in English only enhances my passion for both video games and the language. **"How did you learn English? Did video games play a role on it?"** - English has called my attention since I was very little; only at the age of 10, however, I'd realize that I had a passion for it when I started taking English classes at school, and so I began a self-teaching life journey. Aside from what I learned at school, I'd read text books written in English by applying what I learned from video games, which were certainly a major influence. *Star Wars: Rogue Squadron* was the most influential game in this aspect thanks to its loads of spoken dialogues and subtitles. After that, it's a much longer story that continues to this day! **"Oh! Rogue Squadron! So that's why you pretend to be a Rebel!"** - That's right! That one N64 classic influenced me so much, that I used to daydream about being a skilled Rebel pilot from my own Rebel academy! Silly stuff, I know. Eventually, *Rogue Squadron* introduced me to Star Wars and I'd become quite the fan, and I would stick to my Rebel character over the years. **"What does 'Rebelshifter' mean, anyway?"** - To be honest, I just came up with that username when creating an account for good ol' MSN. Only when I started considering working on video content creation I gave the username a meaning -- the motto at the *Welcome* section. That would define the profile of what I aim to do with my content today.

I also have other social media in which I am progressively expanding my work!: - First, *please* follow my [Twitter](https://twitter.com/Rebelshifter)! That way, you can stay up to date regarding my channel updates (such as when I go live) as well as other shared content. - For more elaborate updates on my work, you can follow my [Facebook](https://www.facebook.com/Rebelshifter/) page. I will soon step up my game there and use it just like I used to utilize my Channel Feed here on Twitch, so you can get to know what contents I intend to add to my channel over time. - Last but not least, if you decide to follow my [YouTube](https://www.youtube.com/user/Rebelshifter) channel, I would certainly appreciate it. Though right now it's more of a junkyard than anything else, my intention is to start producing *actual* content on it in the near future. Actually, I have had the wish to produce articles that I've had in mind for a very long time. Thank you for your continued support!
