***The Vibrant Story*** Many moons ago (well... 2019 pre-pandemic), Vibrant was a magical place that once existed in the heart of the Columbia Valley. A place where we could come together and dance away our everyday stresses under a sheet of stars, surrounded by trees and nature. Vibrant has origins as a birthday party with a long history in the Invermere region. Celebrating a man/myth/legend by the name of Nipple. In 2016, this infamous birthday bash was rebranded as the festival we know today. Over the years we have built a community of outstanding ravers affectionately referred to as "Vibrators". Special shout outs to the Vibrant crew, Volunteers and Sleazy Listening! Honourable mention to the Vibrant King and Queen, Brendan (Nipple) and Shauna (Slynky)! Regardless of the current circumstances, our community lives on in this new digital era of technology. We continue to spread the love of music and good energy that we all need so desperately. Love, Connection, Music. ***A few words about our Vibrant Hosts*** ***NINJETTE*** Also known as Boss Lady Jamie. This little sassy pants had her hands full managing the back end of Vibrant during its production years. Volunteer mama, professional kitten herder extrordinaire! Sweet as pie, will bite if not fed. Ninjette has maintained a presence in the western Canadian electronic music scene for more than a decade. She is one of the fearless leaders of Vibrant Music Festival and has earned her place as a performer at Motion Notion, Shambhala, FozzyFest, Wicked Woods and a wide array of other reputable Canadian events. Her swift selections are a juxtaposition of deep, dark bass and playful melodies. While Ninjette is a long time representative of the DNB Girls of America and is well known for her love affair with drum and bass, she is also a stealthy maestro of mid-tempo sounds with a particular affection for glitch hop, breaks and bass house. ***Robbie C / 4:44*** Mr. Production man at Vibrant HQ! We can all thank Robbie C for delivering the best possible production experience at the Festival and right here on Twitch. From humble beginnings playing tunes at Zona’s in Canmore, Alberta, Robbie C has built a name for himself all over Western Canada. Not just your average DJ, Robbie is a dedicated contributor to the music community. Hosting his own weekly night for 7 years in the Bow Valley and out in the trenches on a regular basis as support for many other local scene events and larger scale productions. A big player in the East Kootenay outdoor scene, he has earned his place at many of the electronic music festivals in the region including Motion Notion, FozzyFest, Vibrant and Shambhala. Musically, you never really know what to expect. A style and flow that is constantly evolving. No genre labels!
