Welcome to my stream! My name's Patrick, but you may know me as Scarizard! I'm a lifelong gamer with experience designing and writing about games taking on a new mission: slaying my massive backlog of videogames once and for all. From slashing through the future with some Hot Bots to soaring the skies of Hyrule, I try to deconstruct how the games we love are made and why they mean so much to us. Thanks for stopping by! Wanna know who did all my art? Check out the info & links below! --------------------------- Twitch Background image: Melissa Yabumoto! Follow her work on twitter at @FFSade! Jocelyn Kim! - Icon, Offline Image, & all channel art, and the emotes ALPHA, Smug, MAD, Love, Wut, Champ, Lurk, Nice, and Goof!! Follow her on twitter @jocelynkimchi! Sharon Oh! A fantastic Illustrator who gave us the emotes Think, Anime, MIA, and the amazing scarizButt! Find her work at https://www.honorahs.com/ The emotes Korok, Legs, Gold, & Gun: Christen Alqueza! Follow her on twitter @christendraws - her commissions are OPEN and she's a joy to work with! The Backlog is my personal streaming project, built out of over 5+ years of being too busy to give some of these titles the love they deserved. Here's how I picked them: - The game must have been released (OR gifted to me) between 2012 and early 2017. - These are all games I had legitimate desire to play, but didn't. This means a lot of good games that aren't here are because I've either 1) already beaten them 2) wasn't legitimately interested (sorry P5) - After finishing a game, I post a poll to my twitter and facebook pages for you, the viewer, to choose the next one! Special circumstances might call for us to go off-script, but generally speaking I'm letting the people choose

These are usually pretty obvious, but sometimes it bears repeating! - Be respectful of others. I've got a lot of love for the little family we're building, and a lot of great people choose to spend their time here. Be nice! - No spoilers / backseat gaming. I'll often ask chat specifically if I need help, but many of these games are fun if we figure it out together. It usually comes from a great place of wanting to help, but I promise I'm smart enough to overcome -most- things...eventually. - No links unless you ask permission. I'm actually happy to let the rest of the chat know what you're working on or what cute pets you have as long as you're willing to ask! - Ask questions! This isn't really a rule, but be it to me or anyone else in the chat, this is a place of learning about games, sharing opinions, and having fun. Don't be afraid to participate!

Q: Aren't you the guy from Riot? A: I am! It was a good 5 years, but in February I was feeling pretty burnt out and wanted to move on to other things. This is one of them! Q: Do you play other things than single player games? A: I do! I'm a diamond LoL player, diamond HotS player, and a Rank 5+ Hearthstone player. I usually play these games off-stream or with friends to wind down, but they'll find their way to the mainstream if we ever have downtime or finish early. If you'd be interested in seeing me play any of these on a weekend sometime, let me know! Q: Why do you stream when I'm working / asleep?! A: Had to pick a schedule somehow! Mostly decided on 12-6PST so that I can try and be up and at 'em for normal human hours and not be one of those folks that is up all night (though power to them!) I'm open to considering shifting it up or down by 1-2 hours but want to keep the core times about the same. Will update with more questions as they become more common! :D
