# 1) Respect the community, the Keepers and the Bard. Don't post racial slurs, don't spam, don't promote illegal activity, keep your more volatile opinions such as religion, politics and social standing to yourself or in very controlled circumstances. In short, respect others and don't be an asshole. # 2) Be Courteous: This goes with being respectful. Feel free to have discussion about any topics. Feel free to disagree. Keep it civil. # 3) What a Keeper says, goes. Period. Always. This overwrites rules one and two. Both positive and negative. # 4) No one is above the rules. Not Subs, Not Keepers, and not even The Bard. The rules apply to everyone, and punishment is applied to everyone. (Yes, everyone. Yes, that means you.) # 5) In Spirit: These rules and any others are posted with an intent in mind. That intent should be obvious if you consider them. That intent is to allow as many people as possible to relax, be themselves and enjoy this community without fear of judgement or persecution. So please, ask if you're not certain if a rule applies to you (it does) or if a desired action will break those rules (it may). Balancing the line between offensive behavior and rule breaking will not be tolerated for any reason. Inciting others to break the rules will also not be tolerated. Doing either of these things is subject to a permanent ban, moving beyond the typical progression of punishments. No warnings. No exceptions.

Why, it's a channel devoted to Lore and Storytelling, World-building, Role-playing and Discussions of those things. So if that's to your fancy, *have a seat by the fire* and enjoy yourself! # "Who are you?" My name is Kit and I've been a performer all my life. I believe, fundamentally that following one's passions are the best way to lead a fulfilling existence. I believe that everyone has a place in the world where they are meant to occupy. Mine is before the bright lights of the stage. In such climates my psychoses are more manageable, my energy levels are higher and my inspiration flows freely. Unfortunately, due to personal obstacles the likes of Hollywood nor Broadway are amenable or accessible to me. Ah well, we do what we can with what we are given. #"Why a focus on storytelling?" I enjoy immersing myself in the crafted lore of whatever I happen to be consuming. I will play to a character as best as I am able regardless of if I am gaming, reading, watching a movie or interacting with people. I thought, 'If I'm to do it anyway, why not do it on stream?' and the rest, as they say; Is History. #"What do you call this community?" It is my pleasure to introduce The Masquerade! Here, folks of all walks gather to trade ideas, inspiration and camaraderie. All commodities that everyone possesses but few know the value of. It was my observation that many people have an actualized version of themselves that might be out of reach or otherwise being realized.
