Yes. Yes I'm a bearded dude who knits, and sometimes bakes. I also think out loud, and watch baseball on TV.

The goal is to have a place for people to ask knitting questions, especially beginners. I would also like to see the space used as a knit-a-long!

It's a long story that starts with the N64 game *Perfect Dark.* It's pronounced "SHMAH-jent," or "SHMAY-jent" – either is right!
