I'm Solanias and I'm a new speedrunner! I had been considering picking up speedrunning for ages, but seeing Darkman do the Strider tutorial in a VOD recently made me want to finally start doing it. Professionally, I work as the Lead Video Editor for MMOHuts.com, managing and producing content for their YT channel. I'm also one-half of another stream called TheBottomTier over on Mixer, which you should definitely check out. I'm a musician and college student most of the time. I play a fairly large number of instruments and love to sing. Much like one of my favorite runners, CovertMuffin, I too love getting excited about literally everything, so just prepare for that.

The rules are simple: 1. Be cool to each other. I won't tolerate any kind of hate speech, vitriol, or other things of that nature. 2. I appreciate advice, so feel free to offer it if you think it will help, but if I'm playing a game I've never played before, avoid spoilers! 3. Have fun and get excited!

My major goals for speedrunning right now are to get a sub-4 minute time on Strider (NES) and then look toward picking up something a little different. Considering Mega Man 2 or Bastion. My smaller goals for Strider are to master Airstralia zip (or as close to mastering as is possible, given how tricky it is) and to clean up my boss fights.
