ShuriBear
Speedrunner with a ninja obsession. Big advocate for mental health. I teach people speedrun stuff @ Youtube.com/ShuriBear. Everybody can speedrun mentality.
The bottom line of all the rules is, do not be a jerk. But that is not specific. So I listed all the rules below and the reason why I implement them.
- This is an 18+ stream.
- Jokes are wonderful. Just read the room and use common sense.
- I think it is essential to understand each other. That's why this chat is an English-only place.
- No racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, discrimination, etc.
- Mental health is important. And it's okay to vent if something is bothering you. Just keep in mind that I am not a therapist.
- No religion/politics/over-controversial (see extremely edgy) topics. If these topics get discussed, you're to be expected to be civil about them.
- Let lurkers lurk.
- No spoilers.
- Do not give hints unless I ask for it. This also includes backseating. I like to figure things out myself.
- There might be times I "make up" rules. Please understand I do this to keep it enjoyable for the viewers and myself. Every situation is different, and I want to act accordingly to that.
Hey there, I am ShuriBear or Bjorn.
I started watching speedruns in 2015, like most of the speedrunning community my first experience was GDQ. I was amazed by the runners and I wanted to do the same tricks as they did! But I was holding myself back because I doubted that I would ever be able to speedrun. Fast-forwarding two years later, I meet a speedrunner at a death-metal concert. He convinced me to start to speedrun on my own!
With this story, I want to share the message that everyone can speedrun! Because if I can do it, you can do it!
Please consider following if you want to join my journey to become a speedrunner and inspire other people to speedrun!
