I've been an illustrator / graphic designer / concept artist for the last 8 years and worked on a variety of indie games, as well as previous work for companies like Hasbro and Lucasfilm. Currently doing merch designs and other graphic design for Darkest Dungeon. Happy to answer any and all questions as best I can! **WHAT DO YOU USE TO ART?** Bamboo Create Tablet Photoshop / Illustrator CC i7 6700 / 16GB RAM / GTX 1060 **HOW DO I ART BETTER/FASTER?** 1) Do a lot of art - daily if you can. 2) Do studies - seek to understand form (eg do "wireframes" of figures), don't simply copy what you see and assume you're retaining information. 3) Draw what you want to draw, not what you think people will like or what you think industries think is popular. Inventive designs stand out over rehashed, well-tread ones. 4) Don't stop. No one with a goal and persistence was excluded from the industry they wanted to be a part of. **AM I TOO OLD TO GET INTO X INDUSTRY?** Nope! There are plenty of masters in games / film / entertainment who are in their 60s and still going strong. **DO I NEED FANCY EQUIPMENT?** Nope! I use the "bottom of the barrel" tablet. I noticed no difference except for a different feel to the pen. I didn't make better art with more expensive tablet. **WHY AREN'T YOU BETTER AT GAMES?** I'm the best at games; don't know what you're talking about. **PANCAKES OR WAFFLES?** Waffles.
