You don't have to be a sober person to be welcome or a part of the squad. We are all about having fun and supporting one another in any endeavor. Are you new to sobriety or just giving it a thought? You are in the right place and at home. Many of us have been there. You won't find me pressuring you to make the choice or telling you that you have a problem, that's entirely up to you. What you will find is a supportive streamer who will answer your questions, direct you to some helpful resources, and a community of people willing to share their story. Hi everyone, my name is Josh. Welcome to my channel. I've been sober since 10/10/2018. My DOC was alcohol, but have a history with other drugs too. I'm aspiring to build a community of people that are into gaming and sobriety, no matter the reason. Could be for yourself or loved ones. I'll be sharing my experience, sharing others experiences, positivity, and some gaming too. I'm a dad to a 15 year old daughter, 14 year old son, and a 3 year old daughter. My current full time job is to be a badass, stay at home, toddler care, home repair, food preparing kind of dad. I love it. We also have an 8 month old Yorkie named Bernard and a hamster named Churro. My fiancé, LadyQuest, is a full time ER Nurse.

Be kind. Be compassionate. Especially to those still in need of help or in those early days of sobriety. Remember how incredibly hard it is to get started. War stories can be touchy. It's a fine line, toe it gracefully. Don't talk down to people or make them feel lesser than. Everyone deserves to be here and be heard. Calling people bud, sport, or kid is a common example and used in gamer speak often. It's a huge pet peeve of mine. If your username is budkidsport, lulz.

DOC = Drug of Choice - a person's preferred using substance. War Story = Regaling glorified tale of the former substance abusing days. Especially one that romanticizes the "good times". Often one upping in nature. Rooms = AA/NA meetings Recovered = no longer an active user of mind altering addictive substances. Some people believe this is a state that can be achieved, some people believe that one is always in a perpetual state of active recovery. Old Timer = Someone with significant amount of recovery time (years). Sometimes used to refer to someone staunch in their sobriety practices/beliefs. What other terms do I need to add?
