My motto for over 20 years has been **Never Stop Chasing**, and that's what you'll see on this channel - a lot of chasing. I've seen over 800 tornadoes and 100 hurricanes, and I'm not stopping anytime soon. I love all things atmospheric science. I chase blizzards, hurricanes, [flash floods](https://youtu.be/ORJtxkuD62E?t=139), and more, but I'm best known for my work with tornadoes. The secrets of tornadoes have been a source of endless fascination for me for as long as I can remember. I chased my first one when I was a freshman at the University of Oklahoma, only a year later recording the historic [Moore EF5](https://youtu.be/l6LCUCzoeUU?t=195) tornado. I've since sought them at every opportunity. Scientific models can only tell us so much. First-hand observations are necessary to either [validate](https://youtu.be/KDf42_eXz50?t=849) or provide feedback for them. My recent drone footage of the [Andover tornado](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9TutaPlO_Vc) is a great example of this. I developed the Dominator to allow my team and I to get close enough to conduct our own research. We've deployed probes into tornadoes using drones, small aircraft, and even rockets - gathering measurements never-before-recorded on earth (yes, just like in 'Twister'). In short the rules are - Just Be Cool, but below you can find them in more detail. ### Don't Be Disruptive Don't discuss politics, religion, race, sex, violence, bodily functions, or anything like that.  Keep cussing to a minimal.  We try to be mindful of the children who are be watching. ### Cite Any Weather Information If you want to share information in the chat from trained weather spotters or degreed meteorologists, you can do so, but please share the source as well as the information. ### The Rest - Respect the Mods. - Please do not engage in morbid conversations.  However, if you wish to be respectful of chasers who have passed on, you are very welcome to do so. - Don't create arguments or engage in any other jerk-like behavior. - Any hate speech will result in an immediate ban.
