Incomplete/in progress list of Japanese terms I use:
Kamicha: Player to my left
Toimen: Player across me
Shimocha: Player to my right
Haipai: Starting hand
Oya: Dealer(east player)
Oikake: Pursuiting riichi
Ryanmen: double sided shape(56 needing a 4 or 7)
Kanchan: middle waiting shape(46 needing a 5)
Penchan: edge waiting shape (12 needing a 3)
Genbutsu: a tile that is safe against the riichi/tenpai player through either his discards or other discards after the riichi
Taatsu: Protorun(a candidate for a body, like 34m or 57s, etc)
ankan: closed kan
yonren: 2345 3456 like shapes
nakabukure: 2334 4556 like shapes
