#Welcome to My Banjo Diary! I am a 30-year-old musician from Belgrade, Serbia, currently based in Umeå, Sweden. I play the banjo, saxophone and piano and sing. My dream is to become a professional banjo player with a high focus on country and bluegrass. The main idea is to use this platform for practicing, performing, communicating with the audience and networking with other fellow musicians, but also for sharing my love for music and inspiring others to grow their passions and believe in themselves. This diary will record my progress in playing the banjo, singing and songwriting. So, let's hop on this train and chase the dream!

#*"How come you play banjo / like country music?"* People ask this quite often on stream! When I was a kid my dad used to play country on CDs, especially in the car. Country music always reminded me of road trips, summertime and made me feel very happy, and after I had turned 18, I started listening to the music from my childhood again. At this point I was an educated jazz musician (sax player) and it was fascinating for me to find the common ground between country and jazz. I started listening to it more and more, discovered more artists on YouTube, and then slid into bluegrass thanks to YT algorithm. Soon I wished I could play this music with my dad and sing, but I also wanted an instrument, since I'd been an instrumentalist all my life! My dad played guitar so I wanted to pick another one and banjo definitely caught my ear with its rolling arpeggios that made it sound so amazing and unique. The rest is history.

When someone raids we have a barfight on stream. In such situation I play very fast banjo. My friends say that fast banjo playing makes them want to punch someone :0 Just please don't throw a bottle at me while I play!
