I’m Dunks, Co-Founder and one half of the electronic DJ & Production duo, The Funk Hunters, along with [Nick Middleton](https://nickmiddletonmusic.com/).** **In 2020, I moved out of the big city and back to my hometown in the Gulf Islands on Canada’s west coast to ride out the “2 week” pandemic and never left. I began streaming to fill the void created when live music came to a stop and within a few months it changed my life.** **I love music… which is why I started DJing 18 years ago. I explore all genres and styles and I often play a wide range in every set. I build and curate my own visuals which you’ll see incorporated into the streams.** **Our weekly show, “The Detour Drive” played a huge part in building this community with over 60 episodes & 150+ musical guests. The show also featured interviews with visual artists, filmmakers, activists and included fundraisers for a ton of charitable causes.** **The Funk Hunters have performed at over 200 festivals around the world, while here on Twitch you can find me pretty much anywhere! I’ve live-streamed multiple times remotely - DJing from my 10ft inflatable boat (upgraded to a 16ft fiberglass boat) in the ocean, from beaches, mountain tops, and even in the back of a van driving down the Icefields Parkway.** **But the most important to any of this, is the community that has grown here with me. Together, we’ve helped fundraise close to $100K for charities, relief funds, GoFundMe’s, and other social and environmental causes.
