###Why do you kill the fishes after Ifrit? I kill the fishes at the beach to get 5 Fish Fins. These items refine into 20 Waters each with Shivas I Mag-RF Ability. Waters are good Str junction spells in the early game. ###Why do you get Quistis and Zell cards so early compared to other cards? Both of these cards refine into very useful items to get high Str values. Quistis card refines into 3 Samantha's Souls which can be further refined into 60 Triples each for a total of 180 Triples. Zell card refines into 3 Hyper Wrists which can be used to teach GFs the ability Str+60%. Some routes do not get Zell card and the runs that do not get it use different strategies for some battles and requires a different preparation for optimal results. ###What is included in the 100% run of FF8? As defined by XeroKynos: Defeat all bosses, get all GFs, finish all side quests, have 1 of each item, have all cards, all characters have their ultimate weapon, all characters have learned all of their limit breaks, all junctionable GFs have learned all of their abilities, all tutorial entries are known, and 12 Timber Maniacs magazines have been obtained. What is not mentioned in the definition is that you have to also visit all of the shops. Also, the Queen of Cards and the Master Fisherman side quests are not included. A couple other side quests are skipped since the game does not keep track of how many times (if at all) you have completed it. ###What is that thing with the chocobo? The top left corner is a minigame called Chocobo World. It's used to get items in the actual game. We use a glitch to get items repeatedly from it and is a key part on making this run as short as it is. Hello, I've been known as W1ndows on the magical world of internets for almost two decades now, ever since I played Quake 3. I live in Finland, but I was born in Italy, Rome and I am finnish/italian. I've been gaming since before I was in school. We had an Amiga and then a Sega console from which me and my big brother moved onto PS1. On the PS1 I really got more deeply into gaming and this is when my friend introduced me to the Final Fantasy series with FF8. I have since moved onto PC gaming. Games that I have invested most time on the PC include Quake 3, Rappelz (korean MMORPG) and more recently Path of Exile, League of Legends, Diablo 3 and Quake Champions / Diabotical. I like to dive deep into games instead of playing a bit of everything.
