Hi, welcome to the channel. We play Kaizo Mario and Celeste mods, and enjoy the odd casual playthrough here and there. When this channel first started, its purpose was to measure how long it took to Git Gud(tm) at Super Mario World. This goal was known as the 'Road To Invictus', and the challenge concluded on November 14th, 2022. Check out the 'Road to Invictus' box for more information on that. Our current long-term project is clearing Strawberry Jam's Expert Lobby. Our next long-term project will be to investigate the Marihour. # Other streams! # Current ## The Marihour We're currently tackling the Marihour - speedrunning SMB1, SMB2J, SMB2U, SMB3, SMW, and SM64 in under one hour total. We're learning each game individually before starting to tackle runs some time in 2024. # Future ## The Two Hundred and Two Berries I want to collect all 202 berries in Celeste. In the past, I've collected All Red Berries, but would like to go back and collect all goldens, as well as the Moon and 1A Dashless berries. ## Celeste Mods Once 202 is completed, I want to get back into Spring Collab, taking that through to the end, before tackling DMR and the SJ GM lobbies. # Completed ## Strawberry Jam Expert We're worked our way through the Celeste Strawberry mod, reaching and completing our goal of the Expert Heartside! # Hiatus ## Hyper Six Against all advice and common sense, we attempted clearing Hyper VI, Haimari's magnum opus. Reaching the final world, we hit some hard roadblocks, and I decided to put a hold on Hyper VI for now. In the future, we may or may not go for the coveted Haimari%. ---

The first major goal of this channel was to find out how long it took to 'get good' at Mario, with the finish line defined as clearing juzcook's hack Invictus. To accomplish this, I used juzcook's recommended beginner Kaizos list. We ended up straying from the list, most notably replacing Kaizo 1 with Ryu World. Two timers were running - one for the current run of a hack, and a second overall timer that ran whenever a game was being played - it was stopped at the end of the first playthrough of Invictus. Each hack, excluding Invictus and Learn 2 Kaizo, wasn't just cleared: they were also speedran, with an arbitrary goal set by looking at the speedrun.com leaderboards and coming up with a target time that felt achievable. Some goalposts were moved: notably Glitchcat World and Hark Bros. were shifted slightly due to a mixture of salt and a desire to move on. We also played some extra hacks that weren't from Juz's list - you can find those in the Completed Hack section under 'Side Road to Invictus'. These hacks were counted towards the challenge's total time, but were only completed once (no speedruns). Below you'll find the goals from the challenge. Overall, it took me 415 hours, 10 minutes, and 42 seconds to 'get good' at Mario and clear Invictus. There's technically a bit more to the challenge: I still need to speedrun Invictus, and make my own hack.
