# THIS CHANNEL IS INACTIVE hey there everyone. i've been doing a lot of thinking for the past couple weeks. mostly about the stream. i was trying to figure out exactly why i couldn't stay motivated to stream and why i don't have the same enjoyment from streaming that i once had. well today i finally figured out why. after putting in a ton of thought, i have decided that i'm gonna be ending yoshiboy and start streaming under a new name and channel and it's name will be chriscrossin. a completely fresh start. the reason i chose this name is because a lot of people that i'm friends with call me chris and i've had this name idea for years. some of you might of heard of this name before, i've said that i've wanted to change my name to this to a couple friends of mine. you all may be wondering why i want to rebrand myself, and i have a few reasons why i want do so. 1. i want to stream games that aren't nintendo for the past several months, i have felt held down by the name i made for myself and the community that i built around nintendo games and speedrunning. usually when i don't feel like playing an nintendo game or speedrunning, i just don't stream. for example, some of you know that i play osu, but i never streamed it. i have a lot of passion for the game and i play a ton when i'm not streaming. i never streamed it because i thought that no one wanted to watch me play it and i'd just be wasting my time. i'm not gonna let this thought hold me down any longer. from now on i'm gonna be streaming anything that i feel like playing. if i feel like playing osu one day, i'm gonna play it on stream. if i feel like playing a game that isn't nintendo, i'm gonna play it on stream. if i feel like speedrunning, i'm gonna speedrun. at least in my eyes, me providing content that some people will not particularly enjoy is better than not providing any content at all. 2. i've grown out of the name and the mascot. let me preface this by saying that i don't hate yoshi, of course not. i made twitch account yoshiboy757 in early 2017, when i was 15 years old. it was a name that i based off firedragon764 since i've been lurking in his streams for about a year w/o an account. i was a big yoshi fan at the time and i thought the name made sense. the 757 part is personal and i'd rather not disclose what it meant. it's been 2 years since i've made this account and i'm grown tired of the name and the mascot that i made for it. as much as i hate to say this, i'm not as big as a yoshi fan as i used to be 2 years ago. with that being said, i'll be changing my names on all my social media to chriscrossin or chriscrossintv. i'll be keeping the yoshiboy twitch account up since i still have an emotion attachment. if you want to continue to support me and my future endeavors, my new twitch and discord are linked below. i'll be streaming on this new account once i get everything settled. thank you all for the support. <3 https://twitch.tv/chriscrossintv https://discord.gg/QR9xqZs
