Once a gamer, always a gamer? Maybe. We shall see.

Welcome

## About Me My name is David, but most people in gaming call me Zada. I meet every Constitutional requirement for being President of the United States. But really, who would want that job? ## About This Channel I got started in streaming by playing a lot of Splatoon 2, and even made a couple of LAN appearances before COVID-19 was a thing. Currently I play Splatoon 3 and some Fortnite, and for me the goal of gaming is having fun. I consider my stream mentor to be [Jestterz (f/k/a LoneWolf1600)](https://twitch.tv/jestterz)—be sure to check him out! ## About the Rules Only one real rule, taken from Bill and Ted: **Be excellent to each other.** If you're in-game, play your best, have fun, work with your teammates, and challenge yourself and your opponents. If you're in the chat, treat everyone with respect. ## Friends List Info I really enjoy playing with everyone who comes to the stream! Unfortunately, Nintendo has a limit of 300 friends on the Switch (and 100 on the Wii U), so from time to time I have to purge names I can't immediately recognize. Please don't take it personally! Next time you want to play, just send a new friend request and I'll get you added between matches! ## Media and Community * [Twitter](https://twitter.com/realZada) - **realZada** * [Discord](https://discord.gg/wKh3f8r) - **Squid Republic** When we do team modes, voice chat happens in the Squid Republic Discord server. Join the server to check the rules and see what it's about. Thanks for stopping by and have fun!

1v1 Info

## About 1v1 Tournaments The Splatoon 3 1v1 Tourneys focus on viewer competition with the added twist of making the objective, not just the kill count, an important component of a win. These are done in brackets of 4 to 8 players. Once a 1v1 tourney is started and an individual has played, there is no player substitution allowed. ## Format Opponents play one match of Tower Control using identical weapons. The winner is determined by (a) completion of the objective (knockout); (b) highest K/A count; (c) progress on the objective, if the K/A count is tied. ## Seeding Seeding is random and no attempt is made to match based on perceived skill level. For tournaments where more than 8 people have signed up, 8 players will be selected by (a) three random Subscribers, VIPs, or "RNG" viewers; (b) order of sign-up; (c) random selection for the last slot. From time to time I will personally invite people I know to play and they will be guaranteed a slot but not a seed. ## Disqualification Any competitor who stops the tournament using the break code will be disqualified and forfeit all remaining matches. Only the host (me) may break the lobby in this way. (Thank you for this wonderful addition to Splatoon 3, Mr. Nogami.) ## Strike System Keeping the tournament moving without delays is important as many players have limited time that they can spend on-stream. Strikes will be issued against players for the following: * Bringing the wrong weapon to a match (host will break lobby) * A disconnect occurs at any time within a match * Delaying the start of a match by more than 5 minutes * Non-competitive conduct (such as "squid partying") Once a player has accumulated two strikes within the tournament, any further infraction will be treated as a loss. *It is possible for a player to receive more than one strike within a single match.* ## Match Replays Matches can be replayed on the same stage if a disconnect occurs within the first 60 seconds of the match and the disconnected player has _at least as many kills_ as the non-disconnected player. If the disconnected player is trailing in kills, it will be counted as a loss and a strike and there will be no replay. A replay can only occur if both sides have fewer than 2 strikes. In the finals rounds, if both sides accumulate their third strikes in the same match, both sides will forfeit and the third-place player will be declared the winner. ## Prizes Depending on how many participants there are in the tourney there may be a prize! Usually the prize is a Tier 1 gift subscription to this channel, but if you're already a subscriber, it might be something else entirely. Prizes change from time to time based on the type of tourney, so don't assume you know what the prize will be: ask me in the chat!

Donations

While donations are never expected or required to watch or join the action, I know some of you prefer to use good old fashioned money transfers rather than Twitch bits for expressing your appreciation. Feel free to visit https://streamlabs.com/zadafrex/tip if this is your thing!
