I use a color coding system in my edits to make the notes clearer. Red - Subject The subject is what the sentence is about and is often the one doing something. Orange - Predicate The predicate is the main action of the sentence and is often done by the subject. Lime Green - Conjunction Conjunctions are words (and, but, or, so, for, nor, yet) used to join two complete sentences. Shades of Blue - Repetition These are words that are often being used and often being abused. The individual shades mean nothing other than to give a visual distinction to any one chain of repetitious word use.

This is a show and with it comes a bit of showmanship. Over the top, ridiculous statements will be made, but at the end of the day I want to be more helpful than anything. I am just an editor. I will give advice and make comments because someone has asked for it. But, I do not expect every piece of advice to be taken; I do not expect my word to be law. This is a writer's story, and I leave it to their discretion as to what they want to do with their babies.
