New year, new update to the about me! Greetings. I'm BrianH1988. As my name implies I'm 36 this year (35 until nearly the end of April). I play whatever the hell happens to fit my fancy. So let me tell you what I'm all about here at The Compendium: ► Games that are mechanically rich get first crack on my priority list. If a game really draws me in and leaves a good impression, I'm down. ► Games that are unrepentantly narratively rich and create a rich world to frame the rest of it. Story for the sake of it sucks. Story because you're passionate about the world you're creating? That's worth my time. ► Games that are incredibly refined and know exactly what they want to be. (Hopefully what they wanted to be is enough!) What you won't find, if I can help it!: ► Games that are too buggy to play- no one wants to watch a frustrating, unfun for the streamer mess. ► Games that are being played because everyone else is playing them- if it doesn't interest me, I'm not going to give you viewing a good experience. On games and politics, because this does need to be addressed: context is king! In a vast majority of circumstances you see a typical game inhabit though? I despise them to the core of my being, because they don't belong there, and they must be handled in such a way that the work is itself respectful of them and has been treated in such a way where they can clearly be seen as a part of the game and what it is, rather than some stand-in that diminishes the experience. In all other scenarios... keep them the hell out of my games! Another thing that I'll say here- there are plenty of games that I enjoy mechanically but simply won't play on stream for one reason or another. I'll be pretty clear about those when that's the case, when asked.

Pretty light on rules here but in general: ► The most important one: Enjoy the stream! Don't conduct yourself in such a manner that you're ruining others' enjoyment. Tasteful trolls welcome. ► Read the room. ► Don't be afraid to speak up, I welcome decent interaction! ► Links are allowed... Post at your own risk. ► If you want a game's playthrough to continue on this channel, the surest way to do so (barring me just not enjoying the game anymore, which is a different matter) is to show up, be active (and respectful) in chat, and just generally indicate you give a damn about it. ► No, I will not play your game for money. If you literally buy me it, it MIGHT be considered. I reserve the right to say no. ► I am not shy about critique on the games I'm playing. Don't like it? Get lost.

Streams have a habit of starting at around 3PM CST (8PM UTC). Adherence to this schedule revolves HEAVILY around how chatty people are unless I'm really enjoying it. Don't be afraid to strike up a conversation and stay a while! ► Monday 2/5: TBA ► Tuesday 2/6: TBA ► Wednesday 1/31: Started on Persona 3 FES ►Thursday 2/1: More Persona 3 FES ► Friday 2/2: One Piece: World Seeker- AMD Fluid Motion Frames has finally given me a way to play this lovable mess at 60 or reasonably close! ► Saturday: No stream. ► Sunday: No stream. UPCOMING/ONGOING: ► May 2nd, 2023: The Devil May Cry 5 Son of Sparda playthrough returns! ► March 24th, 2023: We first set off on the Trails of Cold Steel quadrilogy. We finished it on Jan. 19th. ► February 1st: One Piece: Odyssey- hoping it's as good as I've heard- begins! ► January 29th-30th- The Metal Slug Anthology playthrough happens,

Incentives!

It's back! Incentives live! They've taken a new form this time though... paying to make the streamer suffer is old hat. Incrementally work as my viewers towards games I actually like playing! Only donate as much as you feel conscionable doing! Several things before I lay out the options: ► These are entirely on my terms and choosing as to when they happen. When a goal is reached, these will be beefy enough affairs to warrant their own stream, and thus will be done as my time/patience/situation permits. ► Make sure to type one in with your dono or specify in chat or I can't know what it's going to and thus can't count it! ► Bits do not count towards incentive donos. Deal with it. These are going to be scarce as it is unless people really start going hog, I'm going to be picky when the expectation is zero. ► All of these are goodwill progress goals towards the playing of said thing. ► These don't have an expiration date. They're kept on a notepad file and are tracked by me personally. No counters. FOMO? No thanks. That's why all of these are incremental goals in the first place, and I expect they will be scarce. ► I reserve the right to rotate any/all of these out for more desirable ones, unless they already have money put on them. Obviously I also reserve my better judgment for this (i.e. if someone donated for one but not all the way and never came back again for a long time). I will increase these prices if the limit (which is per month) is frequently reached for a single thing. This is just a good will donation by any other name, at the end of it. Spend as your budget permits, and please for the love of all that's good spend no more than that. ► All of these are based on a threshold. If I get more than $1000 a month total time gets halved. If I get more than $5000 a month time total gets quartered. I don't want these to become every stream. If I ever have to do more extreme amounts of time for incentives, it may be entirely reformatted to account more appropriately for your generosity. But all decisions are mine and mine alone. Now that I've laid down the rules: ● Trails playthroughs. Current offering: Trails in the Sky: First Chapter $???? (four figures, over $1500 for sure, first person to pay it will end up setting the price). Look, I get it. For some reason people don't pay much attention to these. I love them. Due to what I can only describe as lackadaisical interest and 100+ hour play times, it goes here. It's a lot of damn work and energy. These versions WILL be fully voiced (where voice acting is not applicable) by yours truly (and at that point I'll seek the hardware to make them publicly available on some site or other, probably Rumble or Odysee), and thorough. LIterally, pay me. And bear in mind this will take, modestly, 20-30 streams to complete at the very least, per game. Frankly this is probably going too low, and may very well be raised in the future. ● "#gungeon"- $100 goal (limit 1) for an Enter the Gungeon stream. Watch me kill my hands and love every second! One stream limit in redemption. ● "#outlander"- $25 goal (limit 4) for a single Morrowind stream. This is NOT just base Morrowind, I have plenty of mods in there. ● "#Fate" (The Traitor Soul)- $200 goal (limit 1) for three days of a hardest difficulty playthrough. Trust me, you'll see why this one's so high if you ever actually see me play it. ● "#VS"- $25 goal (limit 2) for a single Vampire Survivors stream. "#golf"- $100 for me to play PGA Tour 2K21 on absolute hardest settings for however long it takes me to complete four courses (decreases per time donated for by one course, ergo technical limit 4 for now). Hilarity ensues! ● "#CivVI"- $30 for a stream (limit 3) of a Civ VI. ● "#TruckSim1"- $10 for 1 1500+ mile haul in ATS. (limit 3 max) ● "#TruckSim2"- $30 for 1 2000+ mile haul in ETS2 (Because the roads are mostly awful! Limit 2 max)

[The Necronomicon](https://www.twitch.tv/team/thenecronomicon) Owner: CallOfCthulhu In the deepest fathoms of R'lyeh, great Cthulhu waits dreaming. This was the warning he sent to us. Ever we heed it. Never do we betray it. The madness consumes and tears away at us all. I am a part of this madness, such as it has left me.

Possible to see in the future!

Time to pull out the ole todo list. ► P4G continuation (may very well be coming soon!) ► P5R restarted ► Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series ► Amid Evil (RT version) ► SMT V continuation ► XIII- Classic, I am aware of how awful the remake is ► Valkyria Chronicles Is always a distinct possibility: ► Tetrio or Tetris Effect: Connected ► NFS games ► DMC5 ► ATS and ETS2 with the wheel out ► Dragonball FighterZ ► KOF XV ► Guilty Gear Xrd Rev 2 (but not Strive) ► Zaccaria Pinball ► I legitimately intend to bring back The Eternal Shuffler at some point

My Backlog

[My proper backlog can be seen here.](https://infinitebacklog.nl/users/brianh1988) I found this nifty site called InfiniteBacklog that lets me show that and, better yet, links up with not just XBL, PSN, and Steam, but my RetroAchievements profile, [which you can see here.](http://retroachievements.org/user/BrianH1988) If you so desire, you can also see my publicly available Steam info at [SteamDB.](https://steamdb.info/calculator/76561197992029231/) Needless to say, no, it didn't cost me whatever it's currently saying. I'm big on bundles and sales. I've also had my account for 14 years, so.
