Welcome! I'm back again for my sixth year and I'm on a mission to play games in order to help heal kids! I've each chosen our local Children's Miracle Network Hospital, the Barbara Bush Children's Hospital. With 170 hospitals to chose from, each location treats thousands of kids annually, regardless of their illness, injury or family's ability to pay. We need your help! We're here because we want to help families who are struggling to overcome illness with their children. Considering how devastating it is for a family when their child is sick, the last thing they should have to worry about is funds. Who we are: Nearly six years ago, a group of board game hobbyists formed an Extra Life team to support the Barbara Bush Children's Hospital of Maine and we started up a board game broadcasting channel on Twitch for our marathons. Unfortunately this year, due to the pandemic (and my conflicting schedule), I cannot attend this year's board game stream. However, to keep the efforts alive, I'll still be doing a 24 Hour Video Game stream on my twitch.tv/dekalldarkestarr channel! We are on a mission to save kids and we need your help! Our local Children's Miracle Network hospital treats thousands of children each year, regardless of their family's ability to pay. These kids are facing scary stuff like cancer, cystic fibrosis and injuries from accidents, just to name a few examples. I'll be starting at 7pm (EST) on Saturday, November 7th and will finish at 7pm (EST) on Sunday, November 8th. Since 2008, Extra Life has raised more than $50 million USD to help children's hospitals provide critical treatments and healthcare services, pediatric medical equipment, research and charitable care.
