The Charity that I am supporting is The Stroke Awareness Foundation. My Mother had a stroke 2 years ago. I knew that Strokes were bad, but I did not realize just how bad they were. I woke up the morning that it happened to a loud thud, and my daughter running in to me and my wife's room, telling us that "Nana fell down and cannot get up!" I hoped out of bed to go take a look at what happened, and there she was, at the top of the stairs, laying down. I had to watch my own mother be carted out on a stretcher and put into an ambulance. It was one of the hardest things I had to see. Come to find out, it was was a major stroke. the Dr's didn't think that she would survive after the surgery, let alone make a full recovery. But here we are 2 years later, she is running after my son, and keeping up with him.
