HEY! So glad you could stop by! Welcome to my humble abode! My name is Folkrod! Also known as Aaron (AyAyRon/He/Him) I was born and raised in southern California but have family that have been indeginous to Durango Mexico for generations! I have always had long hair (it used to be even longer than this!) and have loved music since birth. I grew up playing piano for many years and in my teens took up bass guitar, from there I played bass actively all over for years and then in my early twenties I started playing electric guitar and that has been my main focus for the last 6-7 years or so! In terms of my guitar improvisation I draw a lot of inspiration from A LOT of different guitarist but some that quickly come to mind are Walter Becker, Frank Zappa, Steve Howe, David Gilmour, and many others. I also love newer contemporary pop, funk, electronic music and more. I'd say that overall "Psychedelic rock" is still my favorite genre and vibe when it comes to the music I enjoy listening to and playing but as you will come to find we enjoy a very wide range of styles here in the FolkFam! I have also been a lifelong gamer earliest childhood systems are primarily from the 6th generation of gaming (PS2, XBOX, GameCube, and last but not least, SEGA Dreamcast!(yes, I was one of the few people who used the DC in its hayday! 🤣) Sega Dreamcast including Sonic Adventure 1, 2, Powerstone, Soul Calibur, JetSet Radio, and all those other Dreamcast BANGERS! Granted I have played many many games across all generations but am always looking for new and interesting experiences to play together on stream! As of 2020 me and my wife moved from Oregon where we had been living for some time to southern Florida where we and out cat Bowie bask out in the Florida sun riding alligators while we drink our ten gallons of orange juice! We here in the FolkFam believe in loving one another, treating each other as we would like ourselves to be treated and we all come together as a FolkFam to just jam out, chat, play videogames, build stuff, and most importantly love and build up one another and have FUN! 💚👽

Stream setup: On stream I just use my Focusrite 2i2 interface connected to my PC and then use Reaper as my DAW and from there I use Amplitube 5 MAX as my tone platform. Where I am using basically a Soldano SLO 100 ampilfiier into a "vintage style" 4x12 Marshal Stack. My signal though is split three times to sound extra big and not thin and weak then summed back down where it then enters my delay and reverb and then your ears via the ReStream plugin to OBS. Also excessive debauchery can get tiresome! 6: While we promote honesty and keeping things real we also want to promote a positive space for everyone so trauma-dumping and incessant negative commentary in chat is not appreciated however if you do need someone to talk to we have a plethora of resources in our FolkFam Discord! 7: Just be nice, love one another, and have FUN!
