I've known about speedruns for a long time, I can't even remember when (probably like 2003 or before), and I started getting interested in doing some back in 2008, when I discovered the Super Mario 64 community. I wasn't good at all, and I wasn't so serious about it. I feel like I've gotten really good, especially at MM3D though.
