My name is David. I'm from Grenoble, France, but currently living in sunny and warm Montreal, Canada (did I mention heat?). I worked as a game programmer for 3 years but stopped for personal reasons. I was casually streaming on Steam before I realized it was very limited so I decided to move to Twitch. I could afford streaming full-time while running on my savings so I did that for almost 4 years while working remotely for a few months then doing personal projects. Although the experience was enriching, things never took off. Therefore, I started doing casual jobs since COVID-19 while streaming personal programming projects and games on the side. I've been working as a waiter in local Mexican restaurants where I've been learning Spanish. Q: **Why are you wearing gloves?** A: I have an oily skin and sweat a lot. It forces me to wash my hands very often if I don't want to get my mouse and keyboard dirty all the time. I was fed up with that so one day, I tried wearing gloves as an experiment. It wasn't practical at first but I quickly got used to it so it stuck. Q: **What games do you play?** A: I play all kinds of games, modern and old, with a strong focus on singleplayer and co-op games (whenever I find teammates). While I mostly play FPS and RPGs, I also enjoy indie and point-and-click games sometimes. Q: **Is your nickname related to the console, the music band or religion?** A: None of those! I was part of a no-steam community called DiGiTALZONE (now defunct) a long time ago and needed a new nickname. One of the mods made a thread about it and Genesis (as in "rebirth") came out of it. Stuck with it ever since. Q: **Why do you always call yourself a genius?** A: I know I often "brag" about being a genius, while in reality, I just say it to feel good about myself (it's called positive self-talk). You should try, it really works! Q: **Why aren't you playing the game I followed you for?** A: I am a variety streamer. Since my goal is to complete my entire Steam library, I constantly switch games. If you're expecting to see the same game over and over, this isn't the right channel for you. Q: **Why are you playing games on the hardest difficulty?** A: I like challenge and that's the only way modern games can provide it. It forces you to think smarter and it's more rewarding. You learn more about the game and become better than someone who would've played on easier difficulties. You also don't lock yourself out of some achievements. Q: **Why do you have a long neck?** A: I'm secretly a giraffe.
