I am an Australian portrait artist who creates personalised one of a kind hand-painted pieces of artwork from photos or references; however that is only a small part of who I am. Who I am is a lover of art and life in general. I am drawn (pardon the pun) to portraits because I love the expression in the eyes. My purpose is to capture the essence of each subject I paint, as I feel that every living thing has its own unique personality and each painting should evoke a memory or positive feeling. I love to bring the subject to life. For every portrait I have had the pleasure to be commissioned for, I have always felt very privileged to be given the opportunity to take something so precious to the individual, and to create and give back something so unique and special. I feel humbled by that. I enjoy working with traditional art materials and over many years have developed quite a range of techniques using pastel, coloured pencil, graphite and acrylic to name just a few. My current favourite is watercolour and also pen and ink wash. Many of my portraits are in private collections in the United States, United Kingdom and within Australia. I accept commissions and no request is too small. All portraits are handled with respect and a high degree of professionalism. When I am not creating art, I am thinking of creating art. To me art is fun, art is a challenge and a large part of my life... and my goal is to share the delight and joy I have with as many people as possible. The opportunity to meet new people and share my enthusiasm is the icing on top of the creative cake.
