I am Karya, a painter who loves to learn, romanticize, discuss and spread a bit of necessary chaos. I was disappointed with what I found in art universities and had to figure out my way into being a professional painter through the University of the Internet. In my journey, I started this channel and met a lot of people who share similar experiences. Now I aspire to master my skills and learn how to teach them so one day I may build a free & structured online Academia for all. **How old are you?** 24 **Where are you from?** Born and raised in Turkiye till 19, then moved to Germany **What languages do you speak?** Turkish as native, English C2, German B2. Please speak only English during streams for everyone else. **Do you paint as a hobby or is it your job?** It's my job. **Did you study art?** Trick question! I attended art school but there wasn't much "studying" done. I learned what I know from the internet. **So you are self-taught?** I don't think anyone is. I am internet educated and there are a lot of great content creators who I owe my skills to. **Is that oil paint?** Most likely yes. I rarely ever use other paints. **Can I buy/commission a painting?** I am currently stuck in migration work permits. Unfortunately, I can't sell anything until I sort this out. **Where can I see your work?** I have a website and my Instagram in the links. But I do fall behind my updates sometimes. **Do you give classes?** Everything we do on the channel is with a class mindset so ask anything you want to learn. I also give feedback, homework, and assistance over our discord server. But I don't give private classes. **How long have you been practicing arts?** Uhm... That's hard to answer because for the longest time it has been a hobby. Around my teens, I took it seriously but with scattered opportunities to practice. Since 2021 April, I have been practicing without interruptions and with focus.

I am thankful to anyone who wants to patron me and my life goal to create free education for all. I am unfortunately a migrant and do not have the legal right to be accepting such form of support. I hope this changes in the future but it won't be soon.
