#Final Fantasy IX: Q: Why do you reset at the start of the game? It looks like nothing has even happened?! A: I need to steal the Mage Masher from the Masked Man, since it speeds up the run by a lot. The chance of me stealing it is 6,25%. I have 4 thieves at the start of the game. To get a respectable time, I need to get one before the 3:45 minute mark. Q: Why suicide your own characters in certain fights? A: It's faster. Q: I WANNA SPEEDRUN THIS AWESOME GAME TOO! Use them wisely. #Final Fantasy X-2 Q: Why are you resetting without reason at the start? A: The intro isn't that hard, but it has some rng elements in it which can result it like 30 sec time losses. I don't want WR, but generally I aim for a sub 9:10 intro. #Final Fantasy XIII Q: Why do you cancel a Deceptisol repeatedly? A: When you go into a battle with a shroud active and retry it, the game puts you back at where you entered the battle zone and your shroud is refunded. This way we can “re-use” the shrouds multiple times at the cost of the retry time(which is still way faster than farming shrouds) Q: Why are you doing nothing this fight? A: In Chapter 2 the drop rate of shrouds increase the lower your battle rating is. By waiting it out, you can lower the rating. With at least 3 stars, it’s a 12% chance. 2 stars = 24%. 1 star = 48%. 0 stars = 96%. Yes I do get salty when I miss the 96% one. Q: They are you not running Lightning/Hope/Fang?! I heard they were the best party! A: Sazh is being used for offensive buffs, Cold Blood and a good Blitz. Vanille is being used because she is a good Saboteur/Healer/Ravager. People used to run with Fang in the past, but I think they switched to Snow because he was a better Ravager (both Fang and Snow were good at COM/SEN I guess). Don’t pin me down on this. Q: Why do you speedrun this movie? A: I skip the cutscenes, what are you talking about? Kappa Although there might a decent chance you get to see 1-2 cutscenes in my run since I usually need a break and this game has none. Q: How are you doing so much damage? A: It’s a combination of factors. Having offensive buffs as Bravery/Faith/Haste/En-spells can make your attacks strong. Consequently, by also debuffing the enemy(Deprotect, Deshell, Imperil, Poison damamge), you increase your damage even more. Last of all, once enemies stagger, they are like helpless little babies. Q: How do you beat Bart2? A: You don’t, it’s a myth. Q: Why is Hope so annoying? A: He is slow, dies, keeps dying and has his own HopieOP emote. Q: How can you do this without fighting everything? Won’t the end fights be impossible? I tried it and apparently it works. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Q: Why aren’t you speedrunning a real FF like FF9? A: I already do. #Pokémon FireRed Q: Why are you resetting a million times? A: I need a Squirtle with good stats. To be more clear, it needs to have at least 10 attack, 11 special attack and 9 speed. There is also a second point in the game where I check the stats of Squirtle, that is after I defeat the Weedle. If the stats are bad at that point, I might reset cause it would cause too much time loss if I'd continue. #World of Final Fantasy Q: Whoa, resets? A: You need to catch specific mirages in the start of the game. If I lose too much time cause I don't get the right mirages, it's a reset. Encounter spots are fairly consistent, the mirages themselves aren't. Q: Holy amounts of Lightning Marbles, is this Throwing Simulator 2017? A: Items are just superstrong in this game. Tons of gil is invested in the items and they really speed the battles up, Q: So, apart from the mirages at the start, are there any more heavy-RNG spots in the run? A: Kind of, you got the Coliseum at the end, where we need Ramuh to show up. It's completely random, and it turns out that farming 3 fights for items is still worth it. Sometimes he shows up during those and we are happy. Sometimes he doesn't and I need to use a backup that loses about a minute.
