Hello. Call me Squids. (Or Cheech, if you'd prefer.) Based out of Chicago, I am a fine artist, gamer and haver of cats. This channel is primarily dedicated to my artwork. Come hang out and watch me make things! Ps. I'm always late.

ink - My ink work is most commonly done using a drawing technique known as scumbling; creating values and textures through controlled scribbling. I like to use basic ballpoint ink pens on newsprint, embracing the idea that you don't need fancy, expensive materials to make beautiful works of art. watercolor - My watercolor works are highly detailed. I like to contrast that detail by incorporating drips and splatters into the work. I feel that doing so beautifully expresses the fluid nature of the medium. vinyl - Stickers. Each one cut, weeded and assembled entirely by hand. Working in this way allows me the satisfaction of honing an artisanal craft while embracing my sign shop roots, and bringing an element of fine art to a medium most commonly associated with graphic design.
