Hi, I'm painterly Git. And I paint minis on Twitch... but you already knew that. You probably also know that my painting style is "Good Enough", which is a blend of the painterly and technical styles. What you may not know is that I see myself as more of a hype man or foil for others than a front man myself. I'm much more comfortable being the person that others play off of and have a hard time running the show. The reason why I paint minis is primarily to play games. I really love games of all kinds. My favorites are CAV: Strike Operations, Talisman, Kill Team, Blood Bowl, Age of Sigmar, and Battle Tech. Some for the rules and playing the games, others for the minis. Big stompy robots and Squigs are instant happiness to me. I like fantasy and sci-fi stuff the best. The reason I started to stream was to share my hobby with my father. He is my personal hero and I try to be like him. My dad lived in a different country and developed ALS during COVID. He loved my mini painting. It was a point of pride for me. So after my Dad lost the ability to talk and to type I wanted a way to keep him company and to keep sharing my hobby with him. Sadly that never happened. He passed away 3 hours after I got everything together and set up. So here I am, sharing my hobby time with you. Hopefully you find some value in what I do. At best some entertainment and a few tricks, at worst someone to favorably compare yourself to... either way, you're more than welcome.

I believe that it's important to be respectful to one another. I will not tolerate cruelty. I believe that a person should be judged by their actions and not by traits that they have no control over. The merit of the individual is a truer measure than the stereotype of the group. I believe that people make mistakes. I think it is far better to forgive someone who is honestly trying to change than it is to condemn an action. I believe that jokes are a good way to broch hard topics. Some of the greatest thinkers in history used humour to enact change. I also believe that a joke used as bludgeon is a terrible weapon. I believe it is important to listen to those that you disagree with. Understanding where someone is coming from, and how they think is the best way to see them as a person. I believe that focusing on the things we agree on is more important than the things we don't. It is sometimes surprising how much you have in common with someone you have demonized.
